The mouse isn’t responding
If you’re experiencing problems with the mouse, try the following recommendations:
1. Modify the advanced cursor settings in your Control Panel.
- Open the Start menu (or in Windows 10, right-click the Start button) and select the Control Panel.
Alternatively, type “Control Panel” in the Run box (opened with "Win + R" key combination).
- Find and select the "Mouse" module.
- In the "Mouse" window, go to the "Pointer Options" tab. Find the “Enhance pointer precision” checkbox. If it is checked, uncheck it. If it is unchecked, check it.
- Save your changes by clicking Apply, then click OK.
2. Disconnect all additional controllers from your computer (joysticks, gamepads, etc.).
This includes all input devices other than your keyboard and mouse. In rare cases, connecting additional devices can interfere with the correct operation of your mouse. While troubleshooting the problem, please disconnect them.
3. Disable any keylogger-type software you have installed (Punto Switcher, etc.).
This includes any software that interfaces with your computer’s input devices.
4. If you own a laptop, disable the touchpad.
The touchpad is the device on your laptop that allows you to move the cursor with your finger. You can disable it in the Mouse module of the Control Panel, or with a special key combination that varies depending on your laptop’s manufacturer and model.
5. If you use third-party mouse software, update it to the latest version.
This includes all third-party software which helps you customize the operation of your mouse. If you use any such program, update it to the latest version. If updating does not help the problem, remove the software for a while and try using the mouse in the game without it.
6. If your mouse has a DPI setting, check for problems at each available DPI setting.
The simplest method is to try each, with increments of 100 DPI. You can look at your mouse manufacturer’s website to determine whether or not your mouse has DPI settings.
7. If you use the program Raidcall, delete the Flash folder from your Raidcall directory.
8. Make sure you keep your Windows installation up to date.
Some Windows updates contain bug fixes that affect the operation of your mouse. Installing all available OS updates may improve the performance of your mouse in the game.
9. Change the priority of the Game.exe process in the Windows Task Manager and check to see if you are still having any problems.
In some cases, changing the priority of the game process can correct problems with the mouse. Find the game process (Game.exe) in the Windows Task Manager and try setting its priority to Low or High.
The game must be running during this process. To minimize the game window, press "Alt+Tab" key combination.
- Press "Ctrl+Shift+Esc" key combination to open the Windows Task Manager;
- Go to the Processes tab;
- Find the "Game.exe" process in the list. Right-click this process and change its priority to “Low” in the context menu that appears;
- Restore the game window and check to see if the problem still occurs.
